The linked post isn't availiable anymore. I'm also trying to access RTC, but in GEOS. where do one start?

Yeah, I saw that. So now I just have to use that and write a driver?

the disk image contains everything you need to read and write the RTC, including sources and docs. I didn't write a GEOS driver because I don't know how GEOS drivers work and don't feel like actually doing research on this.

In the original posting, I wrote something like "maybe someone can turn this into a GEOS driver" or something like that. So feel free to do so. :-)

that said, i wouldnt mind writing such driver - IF someone can provide the
necessary documentation to do so.

I would have done that myself, would I have had the information you request now. :-P It's not the writing of the driver, it's doing the necessary research, which I'm too lazy to do now. :-P

Maybe some day in the future...

i have actually spent some time on doing some research once (a driver that
uses a large image file on sd-card for storage isnt far fetched either) - but
couldnt find any useful information... either it was never published, or noone
bothered yet to put it online.

well, there are actually books about programming GEOS and I'm sure they contain information about drivers and autostart as well, but that's too much to read for me now. :)
